The challenge

Create a solution to offer escrow payments for online marketplaces and platforms. The big challenge was to create a comprehensive solution to process transactions, escrow payments and all kinds of payments.

The solution

A marketplace payment solution where the Marketpay API is integrated in the marketplace on the front end, and Global Payments works as the payment processor (PSP). This solution allows us to offer solutions that not only allow marketplaces to accept payments, it also makes them smart payments.

From there you can create:

  • Escrow payments: the seller will not receive the money until the buyer has received the service or product. This guarantees a secure purchase.
  • Split payments: providers can be paid their share quickly and automatically.
